Dean S. Marriott works with TTG on regulatory compliance matters, with an emphasis on management assessment, board oversight evaluation, and organizational restructuring. Mr. Marriott’s expertise includes bank reorganization, risk management, supervision processes, capital adequacy analysis, and other regulatory compliance issues. During his 34-year career at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Mr. Marriott held various positions ranging from onsite bank examiner to Senior Deputy Comptroller of the Currency for Bank Supervision in Washington, D.C.
  • Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (1962-1997): Mr. Marriott served as Senior Deputy Comptroller responsible for the supervision and examination of all U.S. national banks and managing a 2,500 member national bank examiner staff. During his OCC career, he was involved in several major-bank restructures and participated in many working groups and task forces established to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness of national banks and the OCC. He has extensive experience in analyzing complex organizational structures of major banks and the risk-based approach to bank supervision. Throughout his career, he has been involved in all phases of supervising of problem banks, including rehabilitation and failure management. His experience also includes serving as the OCC representative on the Basel Bank Supervision Committee and extensive travel to deal with bank regulatory and central bank officials.
  • Since retirement from the OCC in 1997, Mr. Marriott has advised private banks and several foreign central banks.
